Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Province Things to Do: 101 reviews and 177 photos
After we left Swan lake, we went for 18 turns. The sun showed up and then we got the real grass land.
18 turn is actually a river on the grass land. Pictures say it all. It is a lifetime experience for me and the scenary is still vivid before my eyes after a year. The only regret I have is that I wish I could stay there for the sunset because the sunset is said to be most beautiful there. If you ever both the take the flight to Yili and drive 6 hours to that place, you should arrange your trip in a way that you can stay in 18 turns for the sunset.
We went back to Yili in the afternoon. We had some delicious watermelon from the stands beside the road. Xinjiang is well known for its fruites due to the long hour sunshine, among which Watermelon, Grapes and Moneymelon are most well known. However, I love the tomatos there best. It is very refresh juicy and sweet. You should defintely try it.
