The Ishavskatedralen is also called Tromsdalen Kirke or the Arctic Cathedral was built in 1965 on a draw made by Jan Inge Hovig. The church is probably the most famous landmark in Tromsø. Its architecture should remember the aurora borealis, the glaciers and the mountains of the region.
