A lovely little Malaysian influenced enclave of restaurants, shops, businesses and the Sultan Mosque, this is a wonderful couple of hours wandering in Singapore.

The architecture is lovely and the streets seemingly untouched by the moderness of Singapore. There are shops selling Malaysian and Asian items and so many languages being spoken. The buildings and the Mosque make great photos and the Mosque looks even more impressive at night.

Try to aim to be there around lunch time when the cafes are buzzing and choose one to sample good Malaysian food at cheap prices with the immigrant population.

Catch MRT to Bugis and walk to Arab St or taxi to Arab St (Sultan Mosque)
