This silver urn (Gangajalis) in the Diwan-e-k is one of a pair and are the largest pieces of silver in the world. They have even been included in the Guinness Book of Records and weigh 309kg each and sand 5ft tall. They were manufactured in the City Palace in Jaipur in 1896 by Govind Narain and Mahadeva. They were made for Sawai Madho Singh.s personal use to hold water from the Ganges River for his trip to England and back on board the S.S. Olympia. He went to celebrate Queen Victoria?s Diamond Jubilee.
