The geothermal water comes from the powerstation and is like a super hot bath. The algae is great for your skin.

With 2 sauna and steam rooms as well, plus optional extra massage, you can really pamper yourself.

Usually best to visit on the way back to KEF airport.

Be careful of your feet as it can be uneven and sharp in places. The water is milky so you can't see the hidden ledges etc.

And stick to using the pre cleaned algae at the side of the pool. Scraping it from the bottom is not a good idea unless you like to have plasters and pubic hairs on your face.

The lagoon is currently enlarging their changing facilities and plan to make the lagoon bigger in the near future.

Try to swim out to the middle when the next inlet of water arrives. It goes VERY hot.

Address: Between Reyjavik and airport
