Sydney Tower, Sydney: 87 reviews and 130 photos
This is the tallest building in the southern hemisphere and was planned as part of the 1979’s Centrepoint shopping centre. The tower has three double-decker lifts and it can carry up to 2,000 people every hour. It takes the lift 40 seconds to go from the bottom to the top. From the observation level you can see some beautiful views over Sydney and the marvellous harbour and you can see the Blue Mountains away in the west.
Sydney tower is situated above the Centrepoint Shopping complex. If you enter through the Market street foyer you can take the lift to the podium and then get the fast lift to the observation level.
It was not completed until 1981. From the tower you can see a 360º view of the city. The tower is 305 metres high.
