The area around Arzachena (not far from the Costa Smerelda and Olbia) has many ancient sites to visit. Most cost just a few euro to visit, and you can buy a kind of 'multiple ticket book'.

We visited the 'Coddu Vecchiu' or Giant's Tomb which originally had an earth mound covering it. It is quite a dramatic site, set on a small hillside with vineyards beyond. The entrance has a carved stone slab, a horizontal lintel, and an arch above; a small opening at the base was blocked by a stone. They ask you not to enter, but you just about poke your head in.
Built from 2300 BC onwards, they were mass burial rooms. Although the photograph may seem to look like the size of Stonehenge, the entrance stone is only about 12 feet high - still I would not want to shift it without the help of a group of mates and the promise of vast quantites of beer as a reward afterwards.

Address: Arzachena area
