"We went to Nambung National..." Nambung National Park Tip by margaretvn

Nambung National Park, Perth: 4 reviews and 3 photos

We went to Nambung National Park, quite a drive up north from Perth but it really is worth while.
This is an unusual national park made up of beach and sand dunes which extend inland. The park is famous for the Pinnacles desert. This is a region of strange limestone pillars. The tallest of these pillars is 4 metres high . You can either take a 3 kilometre drive trail or a shorter walking trail which leads to lookouts with stunning views of the pinnacles and the coastline. The region is best visited in the spring because the wild flowers are then blooming. The parks animals are mainly nocturnal but at dusk you can see some including many reptiles.
