  Red Kola
by Paisleypaul

I really have no idea why Scotland seems to be the only place in the world you can buy a sugary aerated drink that tastes of cola. The tradition drink produced in Africa from the cola nut naturally has a reddish hue ; ours is scarlEt with a capital "E" ! Coca Cola, make no mistake, tastes of caramel with an ephermeral hint of cola. When you try the red kola you realize what that faint suggestion of taste off of the other coke is

It is made by Barr, who make Tizer and Irn Bru which seem to travel better, and other manufacturers.

Available in any supermarket in a 2 litre size for a little over 1, and in 750ml glass bottles from that institution, the fish & chip shop.
