This church is another London landmark that has been designed or modelled by Sir John Nash (1752 ? 1835). John Nash was born originally trained as an architect but decided to retire very young when he inherited a large sum of money. However when he was 31 he was declared bankrupt after blowing all his cash!

Necessity forced him back into architecture, and after the Prince Regent (as in Regents Park) noticed Nash, he had some major commissions including Regents Park, Trafalgar Square, remodelling Buckingham Palace and this church. When this church was finished in 1824, people laughed at the spire which didn't appear strong enough to stand the test of time! This church is right next to Broadcasting House which is an elegant Art Deco building. Make sure you don't miss it whilst you're there.
