Pulau Semakau What to Pack: 2 reviews and 1 photos
Luggage and bags: Your idenity card or passport is crucial as the immigration police will only allow you to go thru the check point with it.
Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: As you can see, wearing high heels and a mini skirt is not a good idea if you're going to Pulau Semakau. Leave them at home and come dressed in cargo pants which can be folded . Tops with long sleeves are good as it will protect your arms from sunburn and mossie bites. Diving Booties would be another good idea. Slippers are not since it won't protect if you accidentally step on a poisonous rock fish.
Toiletries and Medical Supplies: Bring a powerful mossie repellent. The variety found over here are the commando type since they won't budge even if you slap them.
Photo Equipment: Bring a digital camera with a marine casing if you have one.
Camping/Beach/Outdoor Gear: A long telephoto lens if you're birding, a macro lens if you're going on an inter-tidal walk
Miscellaneous: - Good to bring a hat if you're coming here in the afternoons and a light snack as there ARE NO refereshment shops on this island.
