The Colonial Tramcar Restaurant: "What a great way to dine!!" The Colonial Tramcar Restaurant Tip by GlobalMatt

This was quite a treat. We were able to tour the major downtown areas of Melbourne while dining on sumptuous cuisine. I ate kangaroo for the first time...which was delicious. It's almost indistinguishable from beef. It's a lot leaner, too. I would compare it more to elk. They also served great regional wines and beers. One thing I noticed about the average meal in Australia...they love their tomatoes. Warm tomatoes sliced in half seem to be served with most every meal...even breakfast.

Favorite Dish: The steak, veal, & kangaroo were all delicious. If you enjoy wine, try a red or white from one of the Yarra Valley vineyards....fantastic wines.
