The Big Chill Bar: "Relax Put your feet up" London Nightlife Tip by Cham

London Nightlife: 1,243 reviews and 1,315 photos

Basically a low lit bar with huge comfortable sofas, a DJ that plays nothing but relaxing tunes and bar that's stocked with almost every drink you can think of.

this place is one of my favourites in the east end of london and it's just next to brick lane, so is great for an after curry drink etc.

The owners have just bought the Old Sahara nights place that's next to kinscross station and so in the next few months this will be like a larger version of the chill bar and will be called the chill house.

The bar staff here are efficient and the best thing on the menu are the cocktails in particular the mojitos. They make them fresh squeezing the mint and lime in front of you, and literally pouring loads of alcohol in there. They are about £6 each though which isn't bad considering after 2-3 you'll be well on your way.

This bar is a hang out for designers and artists and is usually full of great people. if going there on a friday or saturday, you need to get there very early if you want a seat as it gets absolutely packed out.

during the week on a tuesday or wednesday is the best time.

Dress Code: anything... not sure if they let in business suits though

Directions: liverpool st, head towards spitalfields, pass it take a left... walk until you get to a crossing, cross over the road, take a right, then a left and it is just on the right hand side after the car park
Theme: Eating and Drinking
