Wagamamas: "Chain restaurant that actually serves good food!" Wagamama Tip by Cham

Wagamama, London: 57 reviews and 48 photos

Yes you did read that right a chain restaurant where the food is actually good. Wagamama's is essentially a noodle bar, but a great one at that. The mission statement for this chain is positive eating = positive living. So yes they use real ingredients and they do actually cook the food there, you can usually see into the kitchen.

The decor is very clean and minimalist and the setting is perfect for that quick meal before a visit to the theatre or after work. As with most noodle bars everyone is sitting side by side on the same tables, which means if you're travelling alone you won't feel like you're the only person sitting by themselves.

The staff are very friendly and efficient and the food is always good.

There are 4 wagamama's in london that i would recommend, the first is the one in angel, which is in the shopping centre there next to yo sushi, the staff here are always great and it's perfect for a pre-bar meal... point of advice don't drink the sake before you hit the bars... mixed with beer it's not a good thing.

The second is one in covent garden, this one is perfect for that post/pre shopping meal, as it's fast enough not to eat into your time.

the last two are quite close to each other. One of them is next to Nandos (tip coming soon) between london bridge and cannon street on the south river bank. The pubs here are full off city types after work so best get there before 5 or after 8. the other is a little further up river still on the south bank next to the tate modern and millenium footbridge (wobbly bridge)

Favorite Dish: chicken katsu curry.... always perfect always filling

or chicken kare lomen which is a nice lime and chilli spiced noodle with chicken breast... which is so good but can be messy to eat so never order this whilst wearing a white shirt...
