If you are staying in the Disneyland area, and don't have a car, don't worry. The Orange County Transportation Authority (or OCTA) is our local bus company and they have a very reliable and easy to use system. A day pass is three dollars, and it is good for unlimited rides throughout the county. The buses are easy to navigate and the drivers are fairly helpful. (I take the bus to work a couple of days a week to do my little bit for the environment) If you have access to a computer with internet, the OCTA website has a great trip planner. Just punch in the address of your hotel or where you are staying and where you want to go. It tells you exactly what buses to take and how long it will take to get there.

The buses are pretty good at being on-time, especially in the resort area. All in all, we have a great public transportation system, so definitely, take advantage of it. Of course, I am a bit biased. I work for OCTA...
