On the occasion of my previous journeys to England I had used banknotes issued by the Bank of England. Visiting Scotland for the first time gave me the surprise to see paper money issued by the Bank of Scotland which, even if I didn't expect such case, makes sense.
What I didn't expect was to be receive a strange 10-pound banknote issued by a certain Clydesdale Bank. I turned it over and found a drawing recalling to some supposedly African environment and, honestly, I thought it could be a scam - given to a foreigner. But at the same time I thought that if that was a scam it would have been fun and, after all, only a posisble 10-pound loss.
That note was later successfully accepted for a payment and I still wonder what that was!
