There are a lot of things to do in Colorado Springs. You can drive up Pikes Peak, the only 14115 ft (4302 m) mountain with a road going to the summit in the U.S., or you can take the train up. On the way up there ,we went rock climbing.
There is the Garden of the Gods, more spectacular scenery and rock climbing :)
The kids loved feeding the giraffes at the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo.
We went to the large city park to watch the 4th of July fireworks which were great!
The Olympic Training Center is free, and sometimes you can watch the athletes train ( but, not on the day we went...).
