Go from Oban to The isle of Mull and Iona, and then take the ferry to Staffa and visit Fingal's Cave. A beautiful island with a lot of history. This is the island where, in 563, St.Columba began his mission in Scotland. The abbey ruins are lovely and the island is very pleasant for walking. This is one of Scotland's most historic and sacred sites. This is the harbour on Mull.
This small island is lovely to wander around and there are several nice places to eat. The views over the sea are wonderful.
The Isle of Mull and the ferry to Staffa and Fingal's Cave. The sea is often rough but the trip is worthwhile. The times of the trips vary but tey are advertised at the harbour. Take warm waterproof clothing.
