Navy Pier is one of Chicago's top family tourist destinations. Fast food, rides, games - the kids will love it. Take them here after shopping on the Magificent Mile or taking in all of Chicago's beautiful buildings. Hey, they deserve it!

Honestly, Navy Pier is not a great place to visit if you don't have kids. Grownups (well, most of us anyway) may want to visit many of Chicago's cultural instiutions & museums, walk it's parks, etc. There are occasional exhibits that attract the locals that you may want to see, & it's always worth at least one visit anyway. But I didn't spend much time here.

You may want to check out the boat tours that leave from Navy Pier, including the Architectural and Speedboat Tours. They'll take you right out onto Lake Michigan and show you the town.
