"Red Square" Red Square Tip by xaver
Red Square, Moscow: 122 reviews and 197 photos
Entering the red square was really a unique emotion.I am not sure if I have ever seen a bigger square but this one was totally desert and that was impressive.
It was born as a public market, like most of the squares and like many other of them witnessed celebrations of victories and many condamnes.
Ivan the terrible confessed here in public his terrible actions and still here 3 years later made the Saint Basilic Cathedral built to remeber his victories.Fortunatly this square still preserves its sobriety and didn't become just a place full of cars and brothels like S. Vinceslao square in Prague.
