"Getting wet" Parque Nacional del Iguazù Things to Do Tip by mvtouring

Parque Nacional del Iguazù Things to Do: 205 reviews and 384 photos

Your excursion thru the forest and then down the river is an exciting activity I highly recommended event not to be missed by anyone. Please be sure that you pack dry clothes although I would suggest getting into your bathing suit as you are going to get sogging wet. Your adventure starts at the restaurant area with an 8 Km trail across the jungle, in an open air truck; this is a guided tour, that lets you know a little about native flora and fauna (the explanations are in Spanish and English). We had Moose as our tourguide and he was extremely well informed and a fantastic tour guide. At the end of the jungle trek, you get off the truck and walk along a path, with many stairs downhill, that leads you to a pier over river Iguassu; there you board a speedboat, and sail the river towards the falls (there are some rapids, too). The adventure ends with a breathtaking "shower" under the falls!!!
The only bad part was all the stairs that you have to climb to get back on the lower walkway. But in the end it was all worth it. The cost of the excursion was US$30
