We booked a trip on a 'submarine' from Sharm el Sheikh. It was £20 (sterling) a head and was a great disappointment. The 'submarine' was actually a glass hulled boat. We were taken out to the middle of the bay and then had to climb down some very steep steps to the hull. It was extremely cramped and very difficult to move about. There were 20 - 30 people in all. We had to sit on tiny stools. The glass was very thick and had a milky tint to it, so the view wasn't that good either.
Having said the above, it was a good chance for us non-swimmers and divers to see the coral reefs and fish. Would I recommend it? Probably not.
