  Akba Assakao, looking down

Once we have climbed Akba Assakao, we have a short stop at Kerkour (1,670 m) to admire what we have done and have a look down, 500 meters below, on the gorge of oued Talouhouahoua. When you stand on the rim, you can easily understand why the Tuaregs were able for so long to stay unruled by any government! If you see some one on the other rim, it will take one or two days before you will reach the place ? where he will not be anymore, of course!
