"The Gardens of the Musee Rodin (5 photos)" Musee Rodin - Rodin Museum Tip by nicolaitan

Musee Rodin - Rodin Museum, Paris: 139 reviews and 302 photos

The seven acres surrounding the Museum building are formal gardens with scattered sculptures by Rodin, all superimposed against the background of the Invalides. Rodin occupied the south-facing 5 rooms of the Hotel Biron overlooking the gardens. During the dark days for this mansion, the gardens were used for carnivals, but were restored following the creation of the museum by the French government. In the bustle of Paris, they were a welcome respite. Look carefully on the adjoining images for scultptures hidden among the greenery.
