"The National Zoo , 3001..." National Zoo Tip by Ky_Happy_Dad

National Zoo, Washington D.C.: 50 reviews and 81 photos

The National Zoo , 3001 Connecticut Ave, is considered to be one of the best zoos in the World. The highlight of the zoo is the Giant Panda exhibit, gifts from the Chinese government in 1972 and more recently. (Be sure to see Virtual Tour member AnreasK's DC page for some great photographs of the Pandas at the zoo). Like all zoos, animals are most active earlier in the day or later in the afternoon. The zoo is free and open about 9: 00 am to 6:00 p.m. Take the Metro (red line) to avoid parking and driving.
