"Georgetown is the one area of..." Georgetown Tip by Ky_Happy_Dad

Georgetown, Washington D.C.: 26 reviews and 62 photos

Georgetown is the one area of Washington you will not be able to access by the Metro. The closest you can go is Foggybottom/GWU Station. Busses run along Wisconsin Ave. Georgetown has several lively college bars and places to shop. By contrast it has peaceful cobblestoned streets and old brownstone houses where the elite of Washington live and entertain guests. Wildlife and joggers co-exist along the banks of the old canal.
