<font color = red>The Lincoln Memorial </font> is always open with park rangers available from 8:00 in the morning to midnight. The monument is famous as the location of several important speeches and concerts such as Martin Luther King?s ?I have a dream speech.? Inside the Memorial is the famous 19 foot large statute of a sitting Lincoln looking out at the Mall toward the Washington Monument and Capitol. All around him are engraved the words of some of his famous speeches such as the Gettysburg address and his Second Inaugural address upon being sworn in for his second term of office and where he gave his vision of America after the war.
