Again, another walk for those interested which is near Wastwater. Great Gable is a 899m high summit. It can be climbed from Borrowdale, Ennerdale or Buttermere or Wasdale. It is a particularly rocky summit, especially on the South West face overlooking Wasdale. There is a complex number of cliffs here with scrambling routes and rock climbs - one of these is Napes Needles - which looks pretty impressive!
