Zum Schneider's is a German Restaurant located in the Alphabet City section of NYC. It's a small restaurant with some outdoor seating as well. Run by Germans, we were probably the only native english speaking people in the restaurant. Lots of Germans frequent this place.

Be sure to Bring Cash as Zum Schneiders is a cash only restaurant.

Favorite Dish: The Beer is a big draw and they have many types on tap and in the bottle. They offer a variety from all over Germany so you should be able to taste what each region has to offer. They also have seasonal beers as well. I was lucky enough to grab the Spaten Maibock on my visit. If you are going for the beer, get a Liter. There's not too many places in the U.S. that serve liters.

They also offer a variety of German Fare. I opted for the Sausage Platter consisting of three different German Sausages. The Bratwurst platter was also a good option. As a side you can get Spaetzle as well which I thought was pretty good.
