Of course, there is also the famous rich & elite side of the Florida coastline, especially along the Atlantic seaboard. This is highlighted by the wealthy waterfront getaways of the Obscenely Wealthy & Ostentatious, where every home you pass is owned by someone yet more famous than the last:
Steven Spielberg, Drew Barrymore, Celine Dion, Ben & Jerry (yes, they built right next door to each other), Rush Limbaugh, etcetera ad nauseum, culminating in a view of the Breakers hotel whre the Rat Pack used to hang out.
I am amused to see that we can all go boating right past the front balconies & docks of these "hideways", but better yet there's a bicycle path that goes around the main part of the waterfront. Of course, you'd have to virtually camp on the boat step of one of their homes to see them, since these are the little multi-million-dollar bungalows they only visit about 1 week out of each year.
