"Trains - Almost the best thing about Wickford" Wickford Transportation Tip by pip_rab

Wickford Transportation: 1 reviews and 0 photos

Wickford is on the main London to Southend Victoria train line. It takes about 40 minutes to get to London (heading west) or Southend (heading east). The trains are regular and frequent, approx every 10 minutes at peak times and every 20 minutes off-peak. The downside is that fares can be steep, a peak time return to London Liverpool Street costs £17 (April 2006).
The good thing about these trains links, is that it's so quick and easy to get into London and all the sights and entertainment in the capital. Or if you fancy a day at the seaside, the old-fashioned pleasures of a pier, beach, amusements, Rossi ice-cream and lots of good ol' Essex nightlife is only a short trip in the opposite direction.
