Fort Derussy Army Museum, Honolulu: 4 reviews and 18 photos

I HAD NEVER BEEN IN THE MUSEUM UNTIL JUST THE OTHER DAY..IT WAS IMPRESSIVE.IT HAD A LOT OF HAWAIIAN ARTIFACTS ALSO ,..WHICH WAS FASCINATING!!! Helicopters, tanks, guns now silenced and vacant bunkers welcome the visitor to the U.S. Army Museum of Hawai`i. Once a bastion built to protect Hawai'i from invading forces, today it houses a Museum telling in military story of Hawai'i from ancient times up to the Vietnam conflict. Each of these hostilities is covered graphically in separate displays with photographs and sound effect creating a real "you were there" experience.

Directions: RIGHT IN FORT DERUSSY PARK Museum's exhibits: Open Tuesday through Sunday. Closed on Mondays.
