La Menara: "Irresistably Morrocan" La Menara Tip by leigh767

La Menara, London: 2 reviews and 1 photos

This restaurant is just a quick walk from the hustle and bustle of the city and has delightfully fragrant Morrocan cuisine!

Just off Tottenham Court Road, and interior decor mimicks a Morrocan tent with divans and big fat cushions that are so inviting that once you plop down you'd probably not want to get up anytime soon. I've been there about 5 times, and have not once come away disappointed by their dishes. Also offers a lunch special on weekdays such as masala and grilled lamb/chicken for £5. For such a central location, it's definitely value for money! You can also smoke sheesha here if you like. The service is personal and discreet (I've since become friends with the staff) and they'd be more than happy to cater to your special requests. A well kept local secret. :-)

Favorite Dish: Grilled lamb on the lunch special, and the baklava-like dessert that they throw in as a bonus at the end of the meal is lovely too!
