We had a couple of occasions to eat at the International Airport. The first was when we returned our rental vehicle at noon and had to wait for arrival of the Bird's Eye View Lodge shuttle to take us to Crooked Tree. That time, we sat upstairs in a modern and air-conditioned part of the Arrivals area (at the right side of this photo), where we ordered a Thai BBQ Chicken Burrito and a couple of Belikin beers. The single burrito was huge and more than met our needs. The prices were not bad either for a 'captive' airport environment!

Favorite Dish: On our final day in Belize, we were so fed up with Belize City that we again arrived at noon, after checking out of the Seaside Guest House, even though our flight out was not due to leave for 4 hours. It was a grey and drizzly day already and we figured we would have more fun just getting the check-in formalities completed and then relaxing in comfort instead of trying to pretend we were having a good time in the city!

Our restaurant this time was another nice modern one, up on the top level of the building, but over closer to the Control Tower. We celebrated our overall fantastic time in Belize with glasses of Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon (US$7.50 each) and also orders of Chicken Wings and a Club Sandwich, both with French Fries. I think the total cost came to about US$30 with a tip, but I was using up my left-over Belize $ so have no exact record. While we were there, the weather became steadily worse, eventually turning into an outright Tropical downpour the likes of which we had not seen in our entire 3 weeks. Our decision to chill out at the airport was looking good! We wrapped up with some shopping for T-shirts and then climbed aboard our Delta Airlines flight to Atlanta, Georgia!
