"Checkpoint Charlie Crosses" Checkpoint Charlie Tip by rcsparty

Checkpoint Charlie, Berlin: 171 reviews and 291 photos

There is no better reminder of the fact that people DIED trying to cross the wall, then the number of crosses near Checkpoint Charlie. I believe that these crosses have now been torn down for a building. For those of us that were in our 20's when the wall came down, it is very sobering to see the dates showing people were still being killed in 1989 trying to escape to the west.
