  Rydal Water
by Ben-UK

Rydal Water is one of the smallest lakes in the area, it's just three-quarters of a mile long and a quarter of a mile wide -- however, it's very popular because of it's connections with the poet William Wordsworth who lived nearby after he and his family moved from Dove Cottage, Grasmere -- he lived at Rydal Mount from1813 until his death in 1850 -- his favourite view was from the west end of the lake, now marked as 'Wordsworth's Seat'

Directions: On the A591, south of Grasmere and north of Windermere.
