Chalets: "Dayang Reosrt" Dayang Hotel Tip by bignick

The accomodation here surrounds a mountain lake (man-made of course). But this is actually part of a mountain area hydro-electric scheme that can mostly be accessed if you find the right paths. The lakes form an inter-linked system that starts at Dabeishan Mountain and passes through the golf course and surrounding areas to ensure water is available everywhere, before cascading through several hydro plants on way down the valley.
The accomodation itself consists of small bungalow style buildings or chalets, ranging in price. Most people on larger budgets prefer to stay in one of the main chalets near to the kae itself as these benefit from air conditioning, somewhat of a prerequisite given the balmy conditions in this area. Chalets consist of living room area with TV and sofas, then 2 bedroms (one double, one twin) and a bathroom, plus a separate sink. A fridge can be requested for chilling drinks, but these are few.
Personally, I always opted for C13 as it gave the best view over the whole complex, was nearest the swimming pools, but was also away from the restaurant/club area which tends to get noisy at weekends.
