"BLUE BAY TRIPPIN'" Mauritius Things to Do Tip by Siddha3th
Mauritius Things to Do: 308 reviews and 531 photos
This is one of the best spots on the island in which to immerse yourself. The water's so crystal-clear and sparkling, it's just enchanting. And depending on the time of the day and the presence of the sun, it's also wont to changing appearances - from azure, to emerald, to turquoise, to that mesmerizing blue-green colour.
There's always a nice breeze around, which makes Blue Bay the ideal spot for a little windsurfing and sailing. My friends & I landed up on a Sunday, and it seemed to be a total party atmosphere - Mauritian style, of course :-) Tourists, locals, families with their picnic baskets - making full use of the April weather.
While here, also tuck into some of the Mauritian treats on offer at the little wooden shacks all around. Juicy pineapples, fruit bags filled with sugar 'n spice. Or land up with your own keg of beer, and flow along with the Blue Bay vibe.
