"Gianicolo Park" Janiculum Hill - Gianicolo Hill Tip by AlexDJ

Janiculum Hill - Gianicolo Hill, Rome: 8 reviews and 12 photos

Gianicolo is one of the main park of the city center, located in the homonymous hill wich give you the chance to see one of the best view of Rome.
In the square on the top of the hill a lot of people gather everyday to take picture of the several monuments popping out from the valley.
I suggest you to come here on sunday morning, when a lot of romans bring their children to play in the gardens of the park, enjoying a short ride on a little horse or watching the local puppets show. And at noon, you will hear the fragorous shot of the old artillery cannon wich tells you it's time to go away for lunch!

Directions: From Tevere riverside, between St. Peter church and Trastevere
