"Restricted Parking Lots and your Car" Local Laws / Rules Tip by zizland

Local Laws / Rules, San Diego: 6 reviews and 4 photos

Be warned about having your car towed from a parking lot. Most parking lots display a warning sign that says that your car is subject to being towed if you leave the parking lot. They are serious! This is not a town where you can park your car in a shopping center parking lot and leave the premises. I did so - to look for an ATM. I was gone for about 30 minutes and returned to find my car missing. It had been towed. The cost - a heft $280 (payable either by cash or MC/Visa) to be able to get my car returned. Not to mention the $20 cab ride to get to the location.

Check the parking lot you park in for signs. Apparantly the security firms are watching quite closely.
