Hostel Kondor: "A scary experience with a formidable Czech!" Prague Hotel Tip by Nazreal

My friend and I arrived in Pragu station only to be confused by the fact that we had not landed in the main train station but a secondary train station thereby rendering our faithful lonely planet guides somewhat useless whilst we tried to navigate to our hostel via public transport (we refused the taxis) and brains...oh what a combination...!!!!

1 hour later we managed to find the hostel only to find the owner had left and that she's only there between 9-5pm. We arrived at 7pm. whoops. A number can be found outside the hostel to call so we did and the poor lady had to traipse back to the hostel and let us in.

The hostel itself was well heated, had supplies for tea and coffee- quite possibly the largest shelf filled with loo roll i've ever seen! and lots of very useful maps and info on the city itself.

The stay was comfortable however on the day we were to leave, we wanted to sightsee first and leave our luggage there- well there's no luggage room/safe area and we had to time ourselves according to the owner's dental appointment. unfortunately we were a little late getting there and i dont think she was very happy with us!

so we ended up having to take our luggage to a locker at the train station which worked out to be easier than we thought and less hassley.

Price Comparison: less expensive than average
Price: less than US$20
