Bar Du Metro, Paris: 1 reviews and 3 photos
We were visiting the far side of the Pere Lachaise cemetary to see the Holocaust memorials and we needed a break. So off we walked [just a block!] to Bar du Metro on Place Gambetta, where we met Harriet Welty Rochefort of "French Toast" fame and segued right into lunch. [It seemed a shame to move] The waiter was a dear, suggesting that we move to a larger table so we'd have room for our food. The cemetary and Place Gambetta, where Bar Metro is are in the 20th arrondissement. Not your normal tourist haunts unless you are Pere Lachaise-ing. It was really rather pleasant to be out of the tourist "loop" for a bit.
Favorite Dish: My companion opted for the mussels. I had a goat cheese on toast on salad that was okay, but not great.
