"Brigittines Church" Art & Architecture Tip by ZiOOlek

Art & Architecture, Brussels: 69 reviews and 177 photos

The only reminder of the old convent that the Brigittines congregation built on that spot in 1652, this baroque church was consecrated in 1672, and was modified several times over the years(the tower was demolished during the 1695 bombings, the vaults were removed, the inside was dismantled, the local withe stone was replaced by Massangis stone and the floor was paved with small granite). Resotred several times and assigned the most varied functions, this edifice with a single nave and lavishly decorated gabled facade is today a theatre and an exhibition hall.

Address: Many to be found in Brussels
Directions: Located throughout the city.
