  Fingerhut Gallery
by lmkluque

Fingerhut has been on the corner of Prospect Street and Ivanhoe Avenue for many many years and is a favored gallery in La Jolla. It is larger than most and offers a wide selection for every taste. To name a few artists you'll find at Fingerhut, Henri Matisse, Joan Miro, Rembrandt, Picasso and our own Dr. Seuss are usually represented as well as others and they also present up-and-coming, new talents.

Their inventory is constantly changing so a visit each time you're in La Jolla would not be boring. Also you might check their website for events scheduled during your visit.

8 July 2006, Spanish artist, Gabriel Picart will have an exhibition where you can add one of his original paintings or even a print to your collection.

What to buy: Anything that speaks to you. This Gallery offers a wide range of styles and there is something for everyone.

My son was asking when I'll return to SD. hmmmm, maybe soon. Need to collect ideas of what to see while I'm there this time.

Lots of changes so it should be pretty interesting when you come back.

I'm not always happy with the changes...but I enjoyed my little visit in early 2014. Stayed around Balboa Park quite a bit...thoroughly enjoyed the artist colony there.
