Favorite thing: Batam, Indonesia will issue a visa on arrival (VOA). Citizens of the Association of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN) do not have to pay a fee with their application. Americans and most other countries have to pay a fee when applying. It is US$10.00 for a three day visa. A thiry day visa is $US25.00. Some foreign nationals have to secure a visa from an Indonesia embassy before arrival on the island.
The process is simple with a valid passport and funds. Bring the exact US dollars because the exchange rates are poor. You will lose funds on the transaction.
Visas for Indonesia are generally issued on arrival. The process is quiet easy and does not take more then a few minutes.
