Warkworth castle is half ruined, old, and fabulous. It's very cheap to get into, about 3 pounds and we spent at least 2 hours there. There are so many nooks and crannies to explore, and the main castle itself has a great array of passages, doorways, and rooms to take a lot of pictures in. You begin to appreciate the age and history of the castle, specially since it is a ruined castle and not fully intact. It makes you wonder about what life was like back then, and it made me think how much I like my modern ammenities, haha. It really is a nice place to visit, and gives you a relatively good perspective and scale as to how big or small a castle can be.

Address: Castle Terrace, Warkworth, Morpeth NE65 0UJ

“life's too short! the world isn't as big as people make it out to be, so why not experience as much of it as you can?!”
