U Dvou zlatych klicu (Two Golden Keys): "A good 3-star hotel" Prague Hotel Tip by divandrea

Two Golden Keys is a nice 3-star Hotel in a great location just at the border of New and Old Town. But since its adress is actually within the Nove Mesto, New Town, it's much cheaper than any corresponding hotel a few yards away in Stare Mesto, the Old Town. Our room was on the 2nd floor (no elevator), it was big, clean and had actually nice pictures on the wall - a first for me. In the lobby is a computer with free Internet. The only negative thing about the hotel is breakfast. They offer a small buffet in the bar next door. Since it only closes at 6 a.m. the room was always very smoky. The breakfast itself was definitely not more than ok. Bread, but no croissants or any other of those nice little rolls you get in any bakery. And their Coffee - Yuk! Since there were many nice Cafes in the area we started having breakfast elsewhere.
Unique Qualities: Great Location. Metro and Tram Stations are just a few steps away. But you don't really need public transportation: all major sights are within walking distance (Old Town Square: 10 Min.; Charles Bridge: 10 Min; Wenceslas Square: 5 Min). Tescos, one of Pragues largest department store, is just around the corner. They've got a huge supermarket where you get water, bread, apples and any other supplies for your long walks through Prague. The building is really beautiful.
Address: Spalena 98/31, Nove Mesto, Prag 1
Price Comparison: less expensive than average
Directions: Nove Mesto, a few steps from subway and tram station "Narodni Trida".
