"Church of St. Nicholas" Kale Things to Do Tip by Diana75
Kale Things to Do: 30 reviews and 86 photos
Despite its small dimensions, the Church of St. Nicholas in Demre is a complex building, repeatedly modified since its erection in 8 century AD.
An important restoration campaign was also held in 1989.
The long line of small vaulted rooms made of stone and the gallery paved with mosaics impresses you since the entrance to the church.
The first chapel dating from 12 century has an opening, on the left side, to a gallery with more ancient sarcophaguses.
