we're all incredulous at this point...

Favorite thing: This is it. An island among many other in San Blas, but the one where our skipper always chooses to stop for an easy two-days stop before we get into serious sailing away from Panama.

The Archipelago has many islands, some more overrun than others by tourist boats, and some more populated, with all the drawbacks this brings to traditional life. I was just lucky that the skipper I chose for the journey knew this particular island well and knew what his usual customers were hoping for: a trip to a really virgin island! This one had 3 or 4 Kuna Indian families living on it and they knew him, since this is where he always stops on the way to Colombia.

You couldn't ask for a more virgin island! Ask questions before you pay for a boat trip to the Archipelago, don't settle for the facility of going to over-visited islands, there are hundreds of others where you'll be welcomed and find peace.
