Early in the evening, Whiskey's caters to the after-work crowd, so it's worth going.

Later, however, it becomes a popular hangout for Boston's collegiate set. The ratio of men to women tends to make this place a classic pick-up joint on the weekends. The bouncers tend to get ruder as the evening goes on, and the crowds make it really difficult to have a pleasant conversation. I'd say go early and leave early!

If you're hungry, they have plenty of good food, both standard bar food (potatoe skins, wings) and barbecue (meaty ribs, pulled pork). The burgers and wings are particularly worth trying.

The atmosphere is "laid-back sports bar".

There is a huge selection of beers.

Enjoy 10-cent wings at the bar, Sundays through Thursdays from 4pm-11pm. Selected appetizers cost $2.50 on weekdays from 4pm-6pm. On Sundays, women get free appetizers from 7-11 pm.
